शिमला शहर में नगर निगम द्वारा की गई टारिंग की गुणवत्ता पर फिर सवाल उठ रहे हैं। मॉनसून से ठीक पहले नगर निगम ने टारिंग का कार्य शुरु किया। लेकिन बरसात के शुरु होते ही कार्य को बीच में रोक दिया गया। बारिश के कारण लक्कड़ बाज़ार से रुलदूभट्टा तक सडक़ की टारिंग धुल गई है। जिस कारण लोगों को आवाजाही में दिक्कतें पेश आ रही हैं। उधर वार्ड पार्षद सरोज ठाकुर ने टारिंग पर दोबारा सवाल उठाए हैं। पार्षद का कहना है कि टारिंग होने के दो दिन बाद ही टारिंग उखड़ गई थी। इस बारे में निगम प्रशासन को कई बार अवगत करवाया गया। लेकिन इस समस्या का समाधान नहीं हो पाया है। वार्ड पार्षद सरोज ठाकुर ने नगर निगम को टारिंग की गुणवत्ता की सुध लेने और सडक़ दुरुस्त करने की मांग की है।

पार्षद ने सवाल उठाए हैं कि रूल्दूभट्टा में बरसात से ठीक पहले टारिंग का कार्य किया गया। लेकिन दो दिनों के भीतर ही गुणवत्ता पर लोगों ने सवाल उठाने शुरु कर दिए थे। पार्षद का कहना है कि नगर निगम की टारिंग दो दिन भी नहीं टिक पाई। उन्होंने बताया कि टारिंग के कार्य के दौरान ना तो तारकोल की पर्याप्त मात्रा और ना ही ऑयलिंग की गई। जिस कारण बारिश से पूरी सडक़ धुल गई है। टारिंग के निकलने से लोगों को आवाजाही में दिक्कत हो रही है। सडक़ पर सिर्फ बजरी रह गई है जिस कारण लोग आवाजाही करते समय फिसल रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि नगर निगम द्वारा मौके का निरीक्षण तक नहीं किया गया। पिछले साल की गई टारिंग भी कुछ ही समय बाद उखड़ गई थी। इस साल दोबारा टारिंग की गुणवत्ता को लेकर लोगों की लगातार शिकायतें मिल रही है। पार्षद ने नगर निगम से टारिंग को दुरुस्त करने की मांग की है।

Questions are being raised again on the quality of tarring done by the Municipal Corporation in Shimla city. The Municipal Corporation started the tarring work just before the monsoon. But as soon as the rains started, the work was stopped midway. Due to rain, the tarring of the road from Lakkar Bazaar to Rulda Bhatta has been washed away. Due to which people are facing problems in commuting. On the other hand, Ward Councilor Saroj Thakur has again raised questions on tarring. The councilor says that the tarring was uprooted just two days after tarring. The Municipal Administration was informed about this several times. But this problem has not been resolved. Ward Councilor Saroj Thakur has demanded the Municipal Corporation to take care of the quality of tarring and repair the road.

The councillor has raised the question that tarring work was done in Rulda Bhatta just before the rains. But within two days people started raising questions on the quality. The councillor says that the tarring done by the Municipal Corporation did not last even for two days. He said that during the tarring work neither sufficient amount of tar was used nor oiling was done. Due to which the entire road has been washed away by rain. People are facing difficulty in commuting due to the tarring coming off. Only gravel is left on the road due to which people are slipping while commuting. He said that the Municipal Corporation did not even inspect the spot. The tarring done last year also got uprooted after some time. This year again, people are continuously complaining about the quality of tarring. The councillor has demanded the Municipal Corporation to repair the tarring.
