इंदिरा गांधी मेडिकल कॉलेज अस्पताल की ओपीडी में स्क्रब टायफस के मामले आने शुरू हो चुके हैं। हर दिन ओपीडी में तीन से पांच और छह मैरिज स्क्रब टायफस सक्रमित पाए जा रहे हैं। जबकि गंभीर लक्षण वाले दो तीन मरीजों को अस्पताल में भर्ती किया जा रहा है। अस्पताल प्रशासन से प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार बरसात के इस मौसम में स्क्रब टायफस के मरीजों की संख्या अधिक रहती है। सुन्नी, मशोबरा , ठियोग क्षेत्र से सबसे अधिक मामले सामने आ रहे हैं। मेडिसिन विभाग के चिकित्सक के अनुसार स्क्रब टायफस बीमारी कीड़े के काटने से फैलती है, जो झाड़ियां खेतों और गली जगह पर अधिक पाए जाते हैं। ऐसे में लोगों को सतर्क रहने की जरूरत है और खेतों में झाड़ियां काम करते समय पूरी शरीर को ढकने वाले कपड़े पहने चाहिए।इस बीमारी में मरीजों को सांस लेने में दिक्कत आती है, उल्टी, जोड़ों, बाजू में दर्द, इसके अलावा शरीर के जिस हिस्से काटा होता है, वहां पर लाल रंग का निशान पड़ जाता है। स्क्रब टायफस पिस्सू के काटने से फैलता है। इसे फैलने में दो से तीन सप्ताह का टाइम भी लग जाता है। स्क्रब टायफस के लक्षण पाए जाने पर तुरंत अस्पताल में जाकर रोगियों को इस बीमारी का इलाज करना चाहिए।

Scrub typhus cases have started coming in the OPD of Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital. Every day three to five and six patients are found infected with scrub typhus in the OPD. While two to three patients with serious symptoms are being admitted to the hospital. According to the information received from the hospital administration, the number of scrub typhus patients is high in this rainy season. Most cases are coming from Sunni, Mashobra, Theog area. According to the doctor of the Medicine Department, scrub typhus disease spreads due to insect bites, which are found more in the bushes fields and lanes. In such a situation, people need to be cautious and while working in the bushes in the fields, they should wear clothes covering the whole body. In this disease, patients have difficulty in breathing, vomiting, pain in joints, arms, apart from this, a red mark appears on the part of the body where the bite is. Scrub typhus spreads due to flea bites. It also takes two to three weeks to spread. If symptoms of scrub typhus are found, patients should immediately go to the hospital and get treatment for this disease.
