नशे की लत में डूबी एक युवती द्वारा अपने ही पिता की लाखों रुपये की कार को महज एक तोला चिट्टे (हेरोइन) के लिए बेचने का सनसनीखेज मामला सामने आया है। पीड़ित पिता ने 28 जून को सदर थाना हमीरपुर में कार चोरी की शिकायत दर्ज करवाई थी। जांच के दौरान सामने आया कि आरोपी युवती ने अपने दोस्त के साथ मिलकर कार को जालंधर में मात्र 90 हजार रुपये में बेच दिया था। पुलिस अधीक्षक भगत सिंह ठाकुर ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि युवती और उसका साथी दोनों ड्रग टेस्ट में पॉजिटिव पाए गए हैं। मामले में युवती के साथी युवक को गिरफ्तार कर न्यायिक हिरासत में भेजा गया है, जबकि युवती को भी पूछताछ के बाद अदालत से जमानत मिल गई थी। अदालत से रिहा होने के बाद युवती कुछ दिन अपने पिता के घर रही, लेकिन दो दिन पहले वह फिर से घर से लापता हो गई है। परिजनों ने दोबारा युवती के लापता होने की जानकारी पुलिस को दी है।

बताया गया है कि युवती हमीरपुर में अपने मायके में रह रही थी और एक चार साल के बच्चे की मां है। नशे की लत के चलते उसने पहले कार को चोरी छिपे घर से ले जाकर जालंधर में बेचा और उसके बदले चिट्टा खरीदा। पुलिस की जांच में सामने आया है कि जिन लोगों को कार बेची गई थी, उनमें से एक व्यक्ति को मैक्लोडगंज में कार सहित पकड़ा गया, हालांकि कार की बरामदगी के बाद उसे रिहा कर दिया गया है। परिवार के सदस्यों के अनुसार युवती की नशे की आदतों ने उन्हें मानसिक और सामाजिक रूप से बेहद परेशान कर दिया है। पीड़ित पिता अब अपने नाती की परवरिश अकेले कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि बेटी के व्यवहार से तंग आकर वह अब उसे दोबारा घर में नहीं रखना चाहते थे। पुलिस का कहना है कि मामले की गंभीरता से जांच की जा रही है और युवती की तलाश जारी है।

A sensational case has come to light of a drug addict selling her father’s car worth lakhs of rupees for just one tola of chitta (heroin). The victim’s father had lodged a complaint of car theft at Sadar police station Hamirpur on June 28. During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused girl, along with her friend, sold the car in Jalandhar for just 90 thousand rupees. Superintendent of Police Bhagat Singh Thakur, while giving information, said that both the girl and her partner have been found positive in the drug test. In the case, the girl’s partner has been arrested and sent to judicial custody, while the girl also got bail from the court after interrogation. After being released from the court, the girl stayed at her father’s house for a few days, but two days ago she has again gone missing from home. The family has again informed the police about the girl’s disappearance.

It is said that the girl was living in her maternal home in Hamirpur and is the mother of a four-year-old child. Due to drug addiction, she first secretly took the car from the house and sold it in Jalandhar and bought chitta in exchange for it. Police investigation has revealed that one of the people to whom the car was sold was caught with the car in McLeodganj, although he was released after the recovery of the car. According to family members, the girl’s drug habits have troubled them mentally and socially. The victim’s father is now raising his grandson alone. He told that fed up with the daughter’s behavior, he did not want to keep her in the house again. Police say that the matter is being investigated seriously and the search for the girl is on.
