आज सुबह पुलिस थाना कुनिहार पुलिस ने नशे के खिलाफ अभियान के तहत 210 ग्राम चरस के साथ दो युवकों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पकड़े गए दोनों आरोपी हिमाचल प्रदेश के जिला सिरमौर के रहने वाले हैं और नशे की खेप लेकर अर्की की ओर आ रहे थे।

जानकारी के अनुसार, पुलिस थाना कुनिहार की एक टीम गश्त व अपराधों की रोकथाम के लिए क्षेत्र में मौजूद थी। इसी दौरान टीम को गुप्त सूत्रों से सूचना प्राप्त हुई कि अर्की की तरफ से एक मोटरसाइकिल (नंबर HP-64C-1436) पर दो युवक भारी मात्रा में मादक पदार्थ चरस लेकर आ रहे हैं। सूचना की गंभीरता को देखते हुए पुलिस ने तत्काल कार्रवाई करते हुए पुराना बस स्टैंड कुनिहार के समीप नाकाबंदी कर दी।

थोड़ी ही देर में बताए गए विवरण अनुसार एक मोटरसाइकिल आती दिखाई दी जिसे पुलिस टीम ने रोका और तलाशी ली। जांच के दौरान मोटरसाइकिल पर सवार दोनों युवकों के पास से कुल 210 ग्राम चरस बरामद की गई।
गिरफ्तार किए गए युवकों की पहचान माधव खिदंड़ी (22) पुत्र हेमंत कुमार, निवासी छोटा चौक, नाहन तथा मुकेश (21) पुत्र सूरत सिंह, निवासी गांव कांडी, डाकघर हरलोग, तहसील शिलाई, जिला सिरमौर के रूप में हुई है।

पुलिस ने दोनों आरोपियों को मौके पर ही गिरफ्तार करते हुए उनके खिलाफ एनडीपीएस एक्ट के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। वहीं, वारदात में प्रयुक्त मोटरसाइकिल (HP-64C-1436) को जब्त कर लिया गया है और उसे पुलिस कब्जे में ले लिया गया है। कुनिहार थाना प्रभारी ने बताया कि दोनों युवकों के पिछले आपराधिक रिकॉर्ड की भी जांच की जा रही है। फिलहाल दोनों आरोपियों को न्यायालय में पेश किया जा रहा है और मामले की तफ्तीश जारी है।

This morning, Police Station Kunihar Police has arrested two youths with 210 grams of hashish under the campaign against drugs. Both the accused are residents of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh and were coming towards Arki with a consignment of drugs.

According to the information, a team of Police Station Kunihar was present in the area for patrolling and prevention of crimes. Meanwhile, the team received information from secret sources that two youths are coming from Arki on a motorcycle (number HP-64C-1436) with a large quantity of narcotic substance hashish. Seeing the seriousness of the information, the police took immediate action and blocked the road near the old bus stand Kunihar.

In a short while, a motorcycle was seen coming as per the details given, which the police team stopped and searched. During investigation, a total of 210 grams of hashish was recovered from both the youths riding the motorcycle.

The arrested youths have been identified as Madhav Khindri (22) son of Hemant Kumar, resident of Chhota Chowk, Nahan and Mukesh (21) son of Surat Singh, resident of village Kandi, post office Harlog, tehsil Shillai, district Sirmaur.

The police arrested both the accused on the spot and registered a case against them under the NDPS Act. At the same time, the motorcycle (HP-64C-1436) used in the crime has been seized and taken into police custody. Kunihar police station in-charge said that the previous criminal record of both the youths is also being investigated. At present, both the accused are being produced in the court and the investigation of the case is going on.
