उत्तराखंड पुलिस और STF की संयुक्त कार्रवाई में नशा कारोबारियों के खिलाफ बड़ी कामयाबी मिली है। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी के ‘ड्रग्स फ्री देवभूमि’ अभियान के तहत एसटीएफ की एंटी नारकोटिक्स टास्क फोर्स (ANTF) ने करोड़ों की एमडीएमए ड्रग फैक्ट्री का पर्दाफाश किया है। यह फैक्ट्री उत्तराखंड के सीमावर्ती इलाकों से नेपाल और मुंबई तक फैले नेटवर्क का संचालन कर रही थी।

इस कार्रवाई में गिरोह के सरगना कुनाल राम कोहली को नानकमत्ता क्षेत्र से गिरफ्तार किया गया है। मौके से 126 लीटर प्रीकर्सर कैमिकल, 28 किलो पाउडर फॉर्म, और 7.41 ग्राम तैयार एमडीएमए बरामद की गई है। मामले में NDPS एक्ट की धारा 21/22/8 के तहत एफआईआर दर्ज की गई है।

ड्रग फैक्ट्री की जांच और गिरोह का खुलासा:

महाराष्ट्र के ठाणे जिले में 31 मई 2025 को एमडीएमए के साथ दो आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी के बाद उत्तराखंड में फैक्ट्री का खुलासा हुआ।

गिरोह उत्तराखंड-नेपाल सीमा पर थल (पिथौरागढ़) में मुर्गी फार्म की आड़ में ड्रग्स का उत्पादन कर रहा था।

STF, पिथौरागढ़, चंपावत, और उधमसिंह नगर पुलिस ने संयुक्त छापेमारी कर पूरे नेटवर्क को उजागर किया।
मुख्य आरोपी कुनाल कोहली के साथ-साथ राहुल, मोनू गुप्ता, भीम यादव, अमन कोहली समेत कई अन्य आरोपी गिरफ्तार किए गए हैं।
बरामद केमिकल्स से लगभग 6 किलोग्राम एमडीएमए तैयार किया जा सकता था, जिसकी अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में कीमत लगभग ₹12 करोड़ आंकी गई है।

गिरफ्तार अभियुक्त कुनाल कोहली ने पुलिस पूछताछ में कई चौंकाने वाले खुलासे किए हैं:

मुंबई से भागकर आरोपी उत्तराखंड आए थे और यहां की शांत जगहों को फैक्ट्री के लिए चुना गया।
बनारस और गाजियाबाद से केमिकल्स मंगवाकर, थल और गैंडाखाली जैसे क्षेत्रों में फैक्ट्रियां चलाई गईं।
जब पहले साथी बल्ली राम मुम्बई में पकड़ा गया, तब गिरोह ने लोकेशन बदल कर मुर्गी फार्म की आड़ ली।

STF की सतर्कता और अंतरराज्यीय समन्वय से बड़ी सफलता:

STF अधिकारियों ने नेपाल पुलिस और नारकोटिक्स ब्यूरो से लगातार सूचनाएं साझा कीं।
आरोपी कुनाल कोहली को 14 जुलाई 2025 को नानकमत्ता में गिरफ्तार किया गया।
कुनाल पहले से महाराष्ट्र, उत्तराखंड और मुम्बई क्राइम ब्रांच द्वारा वांछित था।

पुलिस महानिदेशक श्री दीपम सेठ का प्रेस वक्तव्य:

“हम सिर्फ ड्रग तस्करी के मामलों में गिरफ्तारी तक सीमित नहीं हैं, बल्कि उनकी वित्तीय श्रृंखला, संपत्तियों की जांच और जब्ती कर, PIT-NDPS एक्ट के तहत कठोर कार्रवाई कर रहे हैं। राज्य में 44 प्रीकर्सर यूनिट्स की पहचान की गई है और 172 फार्मास्यूटिकल इकाइयों का सत्यापन जारी है।”

उन्होंने बताया कि अब राज्य के सभी थानों को ड्रग डिटेक्शन किट भी प्रदान की गई है जिससे स्थानीय स्तर पर ही त्वरित कार्रवाई संभव हो सकेगी।

Biggest success of “Drugs Free Devbhoomi” campaign: STF busted MDMA factory, drugs worth crores recovered

A joint operation of Uttarakhand Police and STF has achieved great success against drug traffickers. Under the ‘Drugs Free Devbhoomi’ campaign of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of STF has exposed an MDMA drug factory worth crores. This factory was operating a network extending from the border areas of Uttarakhand to Nepal and Mumbai.

In this action, the kingpin of the gang Kunal Ram Kohli has been arrested from Nanakmatta area. 126 liters of precursor chemical, 28 kg powder form, and 7.41 grams of ready MDMA have been recovered from the spot. An FIR has been registered in the case under section 21/22/8 of the NDPS Act.

Investigation of drug factory and disclosure of gang:

In Thane district of Maharashtra The factory was exposed in Uttarakhand after the arrest of two accused with MDMA on May 31, 2025.

The gang was producing drugs under the guise of a poultry farm in Thal (Pithoragarh) on the Uttarakhand-Nepal border.

STF, Pithoragarh, Champawat, and Udham Singh Nagar police conducted a joint raid and exposed the entire network.

The main accused Kunal Kohli** along with several other accused including Rahul, Monu Gupta, Bhim Yadav, Aman Kohli have been arrested.

About 6 kg of MDMA could be prepared from the recovered chemicals, which is estimated to be worth around ₹12 crore in the international market.

The arrested accused Kunal Kohli has made many shocking revelations during police interrogation:

The accused fled from Mumbai and came to Uttarakhand and the quiet places here were chosen for the factory.

Factories were run in areas like Thal and Gandakhli by getting chemicals from Banaras and Ghaziabad.

When the first partner Balli When Ram was caught in Mumbai, the gang changed the location and took cover of a poultry farm.

STF’s vigilance and interstate coordination led to great success:

STF officials continuously shared information with Nepal Police and Narcotics Bureau.

Accused Kunal Kohli was arrested on 14 July 2025 in Nanakmatta.

Kunal was already wanted by Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Mumbai Crime Branch.

We are not limited to just arresting in drug trafficking cases, but are also taking strict action under PIT-NDPS Act by investigating and seizing their financial chain, **assets. 44 precursor units have been identified in the state and verification of 172 pharmaceutical units is underway.”

He informed that now **drug detection kits have also been provided to all the police stations of the state, which will make quick action possible at the local level.

On this unprecedented success, a reward of ₹1 lakh has been announced by the DGP to the STF and police team.
