प्रदेश में आपदा राहत के मुद्दे पर सरकार की कार्यशैली पर सवाल उठाते हुए भाजपा के प्रदेश प्रवक्ता बलदेव तोमर ने तीखा हमला बोला है। उन्होंने बागवानी मंत्री जगत सिंह नेगी के हालिया बयान को “संवेदनहीन, दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण और राजनीतिक दिवालियेपन का प्रतीक” करार दिया। तोमर ने कहा कि जब पूरा प्रदेश आपदा से जूझ रहा है, उस समय यह कहना कि नेता प्रतिपक्ष को केवल अपने क्षेत्र की चिंता है — न केवल गैरजिम्मेदाराना है, बल्कि इससे मंत्री की “मानसिक संकीर्णता” भी झलकती है। उन्होंने नेता प्रतिपक्ष जयराम ठाकुर का हवाला देते हुए कहा कि पिछली वर्ष 2023 की भीषण आपदा के दौरान वे अनेक आपदाग्रस्त क्षेत्रों—कुल्लू, सिरमौर, सैंज, नगवाईं और रामपुर—में मुख्यमंत्री से पहले पहुंचे और पीड़ितों से संवाद कर तत्काल राहत प्रयासों को आगे बढ़ाया। तोमर ने सरकार से तीखे सवाल पूछते हुए कहा, “जब बंजार के तांदी गांव में भयावह अग्निकांड हुआ और पूरा गांव राख में तब्दील हो गया, उस समय सरकार का कोई बड़ा चेहरा कितने दिन बाद पहुंचा?” उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि सरकार राहत से पहले प्रचार के लिए कैमरे लगवाती है और फिर अधिकारियों को आगे कर स्वयं गायब हो जाती है।

उन्होंने यह भी दावा किया कि जयराम ठाकुर की पहल पर केंद्र सरकार ने हिमाचल को 5200 करोड़ रुपये की राहत राशि दी थी, लेकिन अब सवाल यह है कि वह राशि कहां और किस तरह खर्च हुई? बलदेव तोमर ने कहा, “एक लोकतांत्रिक सरकार की जिम्मेदारी पूरे प्रदेश की होती है, न कि केवल ‘अपने लोगों’ की। यदि कोई मंत्री यह तक नहीं समझता, तो उसे पद पर बने रहने का कोई अधिकार नहीं है। उन्होंने यह भी मांग की कि बागवानी मंत्री जगत सिंह नेगी को अपने बयान के लिए प्रदेश की जनता से माफी मांगनी चाहिए। अंत में तोमर ने तीखे शब्दों में कहा, “आपदा जैसे विषय पर राजनीति करना और संवेदना की जगह कटाक्ष करना मानसिक खोखलेपन का प्रमाण है। ऐसी सोच के साथ व्यक्ति को आत्ममंथन की सख्त जरूरत है।

Raising questions on the working style of the government on the issue of disaster relief in the state, BJP state spokesperson Baldev Tomar has launched a sharp attack. He termed the recent statement of Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi as “insensitive, unfortunate and a symbol of political bankruptcy”. He also claimed that on the initiative of Jairam Thakur, the central government had given relief amount of Rs 5200 crore to Himachal, but now the question is where and how was that amount spent? Baldev Tomar said, “The responsibility of a democratic government is towards the entire state, not just ‘its people’. If a minister does not understand this, then he has no right to remain in the post. He also demanded that Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi should apologize to the people of the state for his statement. In the end, Tomar said in sharp words, “Doing politics on a subject like disaster and making sarcasm instead of sympathy is a proof of mental hollowness. With such thinking, a person is in urgent need of introspection.
